A SHORT FILM by CHLOE LEIGH KING

COOL HAND is proud to be the fiscal sponsor for Chloe Leigh King's next short, SMOKESHOW. Chloe has been a participant in the Cool Hand Series for the last year, and seeks to make a personal film about a filmmaker contending with filming a scene that depicts her lived experience of sexual assault. Her goal is both to circulate this film within the festival sphere, as an alum of Sundance, as well as to use the source material to cultivate a workshop within the carceral system that is centered around creating personal work and storytelling.

 

All donations contributed to this film will be tax-exempt, with 3% of the donations going to Cool Hand directly.

Chloe Leigh King's debut narrative short film, DON'T TELL MAMA, debuted at Sundance 2026. She is a filmmaker who pushes her audience, with unrelenting guile and delicately straddled boundaries, to engage with the subconscious drives that make us human. She is currently in pre-production for SMOKESHOW, and is developing her narrative feature debut, SO BELOW, with Anne Carey. ​​​​
